In today’s article, I will share with you Shopify Abandoned Cart Email Templates.

As you know, Abandoned Cart has many opportunities. When customers who visit your store add products to their cart and leave your store without starting the purchasing process, reminding them of their cart by starting email automation increases your conversions. If you don’t know how to set up this automation, you can go to our related article by clicking here.

First of all, your abandoned cart email content is directly related to your brand language. After analyzing the abandoned cart emails of more than 300 Shopify stores, the emails sent in general consist of 4 categories.

1. The Gentle Reminder

Abandoned Cart can instantly position you as just a polite reminder. In the email, you can talk about the products in the cart, the benefits and advantages of your products and have a Call-to-Action for users to return to their cart.

Example 1: Natural Balanced Language

Subject: Did you leave something behind?

Body:

Hi [Customer Name],

We noticed you left some items in your cart and wanted to check if you had any questions about them. Your [Product Name] is still waiting, and we’d hate for you to miss out!

3. The Social Proof Approach

In this strategy, if the customer adds products to their cart and leaves your store without starting checkout, you can send them reviews and comments from other customers or opinion leaders about your brand and products.

This way, you can both build trust with your customers and solve any concerns they have that prevent them from buying.

4. The Scarcity Tactic

Finally, you can aim to create a sense of urgency with the e-mail you will send at the moment of cart abandonment. Emphasizing that products are selling quickly and stocks are limited can be a good starting point. In this way, you can both trigger the fear of missing out (FOMO) on your customers and create a popular brand image of your store and brand.

Example 1: Natural Balanced Language

Subject: Don’t miss out! Your items are selling fast!

Body:

Hi [Customer Name],

Here we show you four of the most important strategies you can use in abandoned cart emails, with examples of different approaches and languages. Depending on your brand and your customers’ reasons for cart abandonment, you can use one of these cart abandonment email templates.

Remember, add-to-cart is an important micro-conversion on the path to purchase.

Shopify abandoned cart automation allows you to send emails only to customers who have already registered with your store and given you permission to receive marketing messages.

You can’t send these emails to users who haven’t registered with your store. I recommend that you review the Growth Suite app for this audience.
